37.5 Hours per week.

To be accountable for the payroll function, ensuring compliance and customer satisfaction is maintained to a high level.

Daily Tasks: 

  • Payroll Administration in the absence of Payroll Administrator 
  • Ownership of T&A system and training. Improve management T&A capabilities by analysing trends and provide training where required.  
  • Collate and produce reporting data as required, e.g. monthly payroll reports and dashboards 
  • Consolidate all payroll data ready for outsourced provider. 
  • Complete spot checks including new starters, leavers and changes. 
  • To ensure legal compliance is maintained when changes are implemented. 
  • Provide requested or additional payroll information relevant to Senior Management for action or improvements. 
  • Collate, calculate, and produce the data for the gender pay gap report, death in service information and P11D’s.

Schedule: 

  • Day Shift  
  • Monday-Friday (Generally) 
  • On site for 6 months then hybrid working will be considered 

Education, skills and work experience Requirements: 

  • Experience of using Payroll Software  
  • Experience working in an inhouse payroll department 
  • Problem Solving 
  • Communication, both written & verbal 
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines  
  • High level of computer literacy (Microsoft Programmes) 
  • Payroll qualification (CIPP Level 3) 
  • Evidence of a good standard of education, including GCSE’s in Maths and English (Grade 4 to 9/A*-C) or equivalent
