Anti Banquet 2025🎉

Anti Banquet!

Anti Banquet

What is Anti Banquet?

Anti Banquet is a Charity Dinner organised by Josh Eggleton, at Ashton Gate Stadium! The goal is to raise £100,000 for Bristol's most vital community food projects & charities. Last year, the event raised a whopping £120,000, it's yet to be confirmed how much was made this year, but fingers crossed it's even more! The event flips the usual concept of a banquet upside down, businesses can purchase a table for their company, while the bosses and CEO's put an apron on and help in the kitchen, as well as serving the tables!

The night involves so many great people! For example, some of the top chef's cooking our food were: Josh Eggleton, Peter Sanchez Inglesias, Ben Harvey, Hannah Catley, and so many others, they all smashed it!

Jayde Adams & Joe Sims did a fantastic job with hosting & presenting the evening, giving us regular kitchen updates, information about the event, announcing the raffle winners, and giving us endless laughs!

Invisible Circus entertained us at the start of the night with contortion, stilt acts, and hula hoop acts! These were all fantastic and started the night off with a bang. We then had live music towards the end of the night from Doreen Doreen, who sang some well known classics, they had everyone up on their feet💃

What does the night involve?

As previously mentioned, the night kicked off with Invisible Circus providing circus entertainment, as well as a variety of free drinks on arrival.

Following this, we all moved upstairs to where the banquet was being held. Our starter was already waiting for us, and was portrayed in the style of a picnic, created by The Square Food Foundation. This including: an organic pork and leek roll, bianchis focaccia, broad beans, homewood ewes curd salad, wild garlic soup, and various sides such as beetroot purees.

For the main, we had Yeo Valley organic beef, with spiced crushed potatoes and korma gravy, delicious! To share on the side, we had Makai Palak, Dal Tadka, Saffron Pulao and Paratha, which all tasted amazing and made the perfect main course 😋

To finish, we were served: chocolate custard, salted caramel, chantilly cream, strawberries & ice cream. This was a sharing dessert and was definitely very moreish!

During the meal, raffle tickets were up for sale, and there was also a magician who made his way around the room to entertain everyone between courses. The raffle prizes were announced after dessert, and included festival tickets, a beer factory tour, overnight stays & many more fantastic prizes!

We then made our way to the party with Doreen Doreen, dancing & singing went on until the early morning and it really was the perfect ending to a perfect night 👏

Was it successful?

YES! Everybody was smiling from start to finish and it was clear that everyone thoroughly enjoyed the whole night🤩 Although the total amount raised hasn't been revealed yet, we know it was a huge amount of money that will positively impact so many Bristol food charities & projects, which is truly amazing. All of the food was cooked to perfection and there was hundreds of empty plates being given back to the business CEO's after each course😉

It was a huge event, and everyone involved with the planning did an incredible job! We are so grateful to be able donate ingredients for the 3 courses and to support Anti Banquet, we can't wait for the next!
