Daily Tasks:

  • Responsible for supporting target GP% within your allocated categories
  • Assist Fresh Procurement & intake manager with BRC paperwork
  • Responsible for dealing with the customer complaints log, error log & incident log based on your product categories, including investigations into invoice queries and credit negotiations with suppliers.
  • Liaise with other members of the procurement team to assess buying requirements
  • Use ISSAC system to produce the daily buying requirements list, transfer products between depots, book in daily invoices and create purchase orders
  • Procure fresh produce from both the wholesale fruit centre and direct suppliers where required, including special line products where requested.
  • Report delivery anomalies and rejections to suppliers, ensuring that supplier performance is monitored on a weekly basis, maintain relationships with suppliers buy having timely and respectful difficult conversations
  • Work with Customer Excellence and other departments to create daily offers.
  • Provide values and cost information to the pricing manager on a regular basis.
  • Produce a daily update and inform other departments on market conditions.
  • Support with quality checking/stock count of items.
  • There may be a business need for you to carry out other duties within the business that are within your skill set: this could include change of working hours, change of working location etc. Ensure that the quality, safety and legalities of all products are adhered to in relation to temperature control and maintenance of the chill chain.

Requirements:

  • 2 years’ of experience of working with fresh produce (preferred)
  • Experience of working with BRC accreditation or similar (preferred)
  • Experience of working within a supply chain environment (preferred)

Schedule:

  • 5 Days between Monday – Saturday
  • 04:00am-12:30pm
  • Weekend Availability

Ability to commute/relocate
