Our trip Wyke Farm!
Recently, a group of our team went on a visit to Wyke Farm, England's Cheddar Makers since 1861!!

Wyke's History:
Wyke have over 200 years of history making fantastic quality cheese and butter on their stunning Somerset Farm. They are a family business and have fourth-generation cheesemakers that still continue to use their grandmothers, Ivy Clothier, original recipe! They started out by making cheese in various ways, until Ivy decided they needed to all use the same recipe and stay consistent to create the best quality cheese, and that's exactly what they did and are still doing today. They are now exporting their products to 160 countries and creating 20,000 tonnes of cheddar & 4000 tonnes of butter each year!!
Their Green Strategy:
It's so important to customers for their suppliers to be ethical & sustainable, and Wykes are incredible at being green! Their current goal is as follows:
"Our goal is to create a sustainable working farm, one in which we source all of our electricity and gas from both solar and biogas, generated from our farm and dairy waste which is currently of no value"
Their site is truly impressive and the work that has gone into creating their own energy is genius and left us all very impressed, they were the first national food brand to be 100% self-sufficient in Green energy! They are also the first business to deliver Carbon neutral cheddar to the market and they will reach Net Zero by 2030, which is incredible!!
Our Range:

Wyke's products are worth buying and are guaranteed to bring a smile to your customers faces due to their unforgettable taste. Their cheddar is unique due to it's own starter 'mother culture' bacteria, meaning no other cheddar in the world can taste like it!
