Potatoes with Purpose: Helping Tackle Holiday Hunger in Bristol
Potatoes with Purpose
This October, we’re proud to launch Potatoes with Purpose — a brand-new campaign that turns every pink sack of Koffmann’s Potatoes into meals and opportunities for children across Bristol.
For every sack sold, £1 will be donated directly to Community of Purpose’s Break Free programme, which provides nutritious meals, fun activities, and vital support for children who might otherwise go hungry during the school holidays.

Why it matters
Holiday hunger is a growing issue in Bristol, with thousands of children missing out on meals outside of term time. At Arthur David, we believe food is more than just what’s on the plate — it brings people together, builds dignity, and can be a real force for good.
That’s why we’re proud to join forces with world-renowned chef Pierre Koffmann through the Food Heroes and Community of Purpose to make a difference in our community.
More than just donations
Running from October 2025 until February 2026, this campaign goes beyond fundraising:
- Cooking workshops: Together with The Food Heroes Home of Koffmann’s Potatoes, we’ll be teaching local children how to cook simple, healthy meals with potatoes.
- Hospitality pledges: Restaurants, pubs, and caterers across the region will also be invited to pledge 20p from every potato-based dish during the campaign.
- Community impact: Every pink sack sold and every dish pledged helps Community of Purpose provide more meals, more activities, and more opportunities for young people to thrive.
