Roasted Spicy Okra

A healthy side dish with a spicy kick to it!

Roasted Spicy Okra

Ingredients:

  • 400g Okra
  • 2 Tsps Chilli Flakes
  • 1 Tsp Salt Flakes
  • 1 Jalapeno
  • 3 Tbsps Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 3 Tbsps Flour
  • 1/4 Red Pepper

Method:

  • Firstly, heat up your oven to 200 degrees, and line a oven safe tin/tray with baking paper/foil.

 

  • Next, wash your okra, pepper and jalapeno. Cut the Okra into inch long slices, dice the pepper and jalapeno.

 

  • Take a bowl and add all of your dry ingredients, mix well to ensure they are evenly distributed.

 

  • Put in your cut okra, pepper and jalapeno, as well as the oil. Mix together well until all they are completely coated in your seasoning.

 

  • Roast in oven for around 20 minutes, serve immediately as the perfect, spicy side dish to any main!
