Celebrating 60 years of Arthur David!

On Saturday 30^th July we celebrated 60 years of Arthur David at Bishop Sutton Football Club.

We hosted a fun day for all our staff members and their families to come along and enjoy free food, fun and games for the day. Allowing them to enjoy what they have helped create and be part of. All our staff, suppliers and customers are part of our family and we wouldn’t be here today without them.

It is an amazing achievement to be able to celebrate 60 years in business, growing from a very small, fruit and vegetable supplier to where we are today as a £46million business, employing over 400 local people, and selling over 3000 products.

Over the years we have seen many fresh produce suppliers come and go, but Arthur has always held the strong core value of exceptional customer service dear to his heart and has weaved this throughout the business.

Arthur is by definition a true entrepreneur and always looked for the next product or service he could offer. Arthur was the very first person in the region to offer 'prepared vegetables' and put significant investment into a state-of-the-art preparation plant at our Bishop Sutton site, which is still in place today, with a future £250k investment pre-pandemic.

Many members of the David family are still involved, carrying on the great work that Arthur & Diana started all those years ago. Phil David, Arthur’s eldest son now runs the business on a day to day basis and can always be seen around the farm making sure everything is running smoothly.

We are very proud of what we have achieved as a business even with significant ups and downs over recent years but we have come out stronger and ready for the next 60 years. #Leaveitwithus
