Blood Orange, Rocket & Feta Salad

This winter salad has it all: colour, flavour and texture. Sweet Blood Oranges, sharp Feta Cheese, Red Onions, and Kalamata Olives, combined with a Blood Orange Vinaigrette that is so simple yet outrageously yummy.

Preparation time




Blood Orange Vinaigrette

  • 3 tablespoons Lemon Juice, freshly squeezed
  • 3 tablespoons Blood Orange Juice
  • 1 ½ teaspoon Blood Orange Zest
  • 4 ½ tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 ½ teaspoon Garlic, minced


For the Salad

  • Rocket
  • Baby Spinach
  • Handful of chopped Mint
  • Red Onion, thinly sliced
  • The Real Olive Company Kalamata Olives, cut & pitted (code 26763)
  • Feta Cheese, crumbled
  • 4 Blood Oranges, peeled and sliced/cubed (code 2021)


  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the lemon and blood orange juice, blood orange zest, extra virgin olive oil & garlic.
  2. Combine all salad ingredients in a large bowl. Toss and add in your blood orange slices/cubes last.
  3. When ready to serve, drizzle the vinaigrette on top.


This recipe can be adapted however suits, why not try with some Tuna, Chicken or warm grilled Artichokes, or even switch to Vegan Cheese to adapt to a plant-based menu – it’s super versatile!
