We are super proud to work with Cornish Sea Salt, an undoubtable gem in the world of British Produce! 🇬🇧

The original founder, Tony Fraser, came across an Iron Age salt works in a remote cove on the south coast of Cornwall while out walking. Cornish Sea Salt was set up to bridge the ancient and modern worlds. From humble beginnings on the south Cornish coast, they have now become international, selling in over 33 different countries. Their signature blue pots sit just as happily in Michelin-starred establishments as they do on the tables of home cooks who have an appreciation not only for taste and quality of artisan sea salt, but the exciting versatility and creativity it can bring to cooking. ✨

A couple of months ago, we had the pleasure of meeting Olga from Cornish Seas Salt, who talked through the company’s history and blew our minds with some sea salt facts – the food was an added bonus! 😋

#BritishFoodFortnight – Story Time 📚

We are really excited to share these two wonderful suppliers of ours, Shipton Mill and Hobbs House Bakery! A huge thank you to Hobbs House Bakery for sharing a summary of their relationship, though we have been assured there’s a lot more that goes into their relationship, including a story of a pig escaping down the M5! 😅

‘The relationship between Hobbs House Bakery and Shipton Mill goes back over 40 years ago. Back in the 80’s, Grandfather David Herbert was growing, milling, and baking using our own flour in Chipping Sodbury, South Gloucester. However, as we grew in size this became unrealistic and Shipton Mill took over the running of our mill, where they continued to mill until inevitably, they outgrew the mill as well. Since then, we’ve continued to work closely together, continuing to bake from high quality flour. It’s been great to see both businesses grow over the years, sharing our passion and expertise with more and more people.’

We are proud to support and supply products from both local producers, a true `Best of British` celebration 🇬🇧🌾🍞

Discovering the rich, creamy goodness of @whitelakecheese! Perfectly crafted and bursting with flavour, each cheese is a true taste of artisan excellence! 🧀💙

White Lake’s home is set at Bagborough Farm – just near to the Glastonbury Festival site, in Pylle, Somerset. The milk they use to create their wonderful goat’s cheese is provided by Roger’s own beloved herd – primarily French Alpine goats! 🐐
